14 Armenian athletes represent the country at the FISU World University Games 2023 held in Chengdu, China
Armenia is sending a team of 14 athletes to compete in the FISU World University Games 2023, which will be held in Chengdu, China. This event is highly anticipated and prestigious, with 269 medal events spanning over 13 days from July 28 to August 8. The FISU Games Village, located on the Chengdu University campus, will host over 9,500 athletes and officials from more than 113 countries. It is an honor for Armenia to participate in this international sporting event, and we wish our athletes the best of luck.

The Victoria and Albert Museum in London has a wonderful collection of textiles and clothes. Among the exhibits is a small-sized skull cap that once belonged to an Iranian Armenian. This small cap was made circa the 1860s in Tehran using the Tunisian/Afghan crochet technique. The cap is adorned with silk yarn in red, green, orange, black, yellow, blue, and white palettes. The floral motifs in the main band consist of alternating flowers and trees, while a smaller band contains an undeciphered inscription in Armenian. Armenians based in Nanjing participated in the activity dedicated to the importance of reading
On the 23rd of July, Armenians based in Nanjing attended an event that highlighted the importance of reading. Participants included Anna Adamyan, a Ph.D. student from Nanjing University, and Ani Margaryan, a Ph.D. in Arts and Humanities from Nanjing Normal University, as well as a variety of Chinese writers, editors, publicists, and readers of all ages. The event, which took place at the Nanjing Library, focused on the positive outcomes of reading and the socio-cultural value of Chinese poetry and prose. The Armenian children’s works were displayed in Shanghai at the 8th International Children’s Creative Art Exhibition
On July 18th, the Shanghai Art Collection Museum hosted the opening ceremony of the 8th International Children's Creative Art Exhibition. This event brought together a diverse group of museologists, art historians, art enthusiasts, diplomats, as well as adults and children who gathered to celebrate love and life through art. The museum halls were adorned with colorful and innovative works of art created by children from 24 different countries. The Armenian Chinese Partnership Center NGO (ACPC) made it possible for four young Armenian artists - Nane Movsisyan, Karine Baghdasaryan, Sophie Poghosyan, and Areg Li - to participate in this vital exposition.
