Armenia hosted the international conference “Eurasian Research on Modern China and Eurasia”
The “China-Eurasia” international conference was held on December 3-4, 2021, at the Armenian-Russian (Slavonic) University.
As reported by Armenpress, it was organized by the “China-Eurasia” Council for Political and Strategic Research և Russian-Armenian University – RAU. The conference is supported by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Armenia.
Mher Sahakyan, the founder and director of the China-Eurasia Council for Political and Strategic Research, the chairman of the Organizing Committee of “China-Eurasia” international conference, Ph.D. in international relations, noted that the main goal of the event is to turn it into an international platform for scientific discussions on the relations between China and the Eurasian countries. He emphasized the idea that the conference is a good opportunity for both Armenian and foreign scholars to exchange views, opinions, results of their research, compare methodologies being employed in different countries, and, eventually promote interdisciplinary dialogue.
“As a good friend-partner, China firmly supports the path of development chosen by the Armenian people. China is ready to share its useful experience of governance and economic development with Armenia,” said Chinese Ambassador to Armenia Mr. Yong Fan.
According to him, the Armenian and Chinese people have a lot in common: ancient civilization, rich culture, flexible thinking. These are the factors that form the basis for nowadays effective cooperation between two states.
