“Alexander Spendiaryan-150” international conference held in Armenia

The international scientific session entitled “Alexander Spendiaryan-150” dedicated to the jubilee of the great Armenian composer was held online on December 14-16. The session was organized by the Institute of Art of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, The Alexander Spendiaryan House-Museum, The Composers Union of Armenia.
The international scientific session was attended by 40 participants from Armenia (Yerevan, Gyumri, Etchmiadzin), NK/Artsakh (Stepanakert), Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Yakutsk), Latvia, Sweden, and the Netherlands. The various reports were presented on Spendiaryan’s way of life, different spheres of his legacy, genre, and stylistic characteristics of his oeuvre from the prism of his time and beyond, emphasizing Spendiaryan’s relations with his peers, the interpretations of his image in fine arts, etc. 
According to the decision of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Art of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, with the support of the All-Armenian Fund financing the Armenological Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, the reports of the session will be published in early 2022.
