Online “Coffee Talk” Bridges Armenian Diasporas of China and Poland
On January 10, an inspiring online forum titled “Coffee Talk: The Diaspora Speaks” successfully united young professionals from Armenian communities worldwide. The event was co-convened by Diaspora Youth Ambassadors Mane Vardanyan (China) and Yeva Hovsepyan (Poland), highlighting a special connection between these two dynamic diasporic hubs.
The discussion fostered a rich, candid exchange about Armenian diaspora life, exploring the distinct experiences that shape communities from East Asia to Europe. Participants openly discussed regional differences, yet a powerful common thread emerged: a shared, unwavering commitment to supporting Armenia and advancing its global agenda.
Beyond this unifying mission, attendees delved into personal and professional narratives, sharing strategies for navigating multicultural environments. The conversation centered on how to maintain one’s Armenian identity while pursuing growth and building sustainable connections to the homeland from afar.
The dialogue showcased the particular vitality of the Armenian communities in China and Poland. Participants from China highlighted the role of growing institutions like the Armenian Student Association of China and the ChinArmArt cultural platform, underscoring the community’s organized and active engagement in both local and global Armenian affairs.
The participants represented a vibrant cross-section of professional expertise, with backgrounds in International Relations, Translation Studies, Law, History, Art History, Entertainment, and Sinology.
