Relics unearthed from the underground chambers of pagodas exhibited in China
The Nanshan Museum in Shenzhen, China, unveiled an exhibition of about 140 cultural relics unearthed from the underground chambers of pagodas in the Jingzhi Temple and the Jingzhong Monastery of the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127).
Ceramic pieces, Buddhist sculptures and figurines, religious objects, applied art samples, and other items are on view.
It’s worth mentioning that the archaeological sites are located in Dingzhou, North China’s Hebei province. The underground chambers were discovered in the 1960s.
