The exhibition showcased the cultural heritage of the Armenian ethnicity of the past two centuries with the strong accent on its connections to the Silk Road intercontinental commercial and cultural context. Armenia is sending a team of 14 athletes to compete in the FISU World University Games 2023, which will be held in Chengdu, China. This event is highly anticipated and prestigious, with 269 medal events spanning over 13 days from July 28 to August 8. The FISU Games Village, located on the Chengdu University campus, will host over 9,500 athletes and officials from more than 113 countries. The Victoria and Albert Museum in London has a wonderful collection of textiles and clothes. Among the exhibits is a small-sized skull cap that once belonged to an Iranian Armenian. This small cap was made circa the 1860s in Tehran using the Tunisian/Afghan crochet technique. The cap is adorned with silk yarn in red, green, orange, black, yellow, blue, and white palettes. The floral motifs in the main band consist of alternating flowers and trees, while a smaller band contains an undeciphered inscription in Armenian. On the 23rd of July, Armenians based in Nanjing attended an event that highlighted the importance of reading. Participants included Anna Adamyan, a Ph.D. student from Nanjing University, and Ani Margaryan, a Ph.D. in Arts and Humanities from Nanjing Normal University, as well as a variety of Chinese writers, editors, publicists, and readers of all ages.
